This is a green hand loom saree made from chanderi cotton silk. It has zari woven bird motifs along the lower pink border o the saree and top silver borders. It comes with an unstitched blouse piece

Surbhi is a self help group started in 2006 with 11 weavers , now creating and selling the handloom products on their own. The weavers all based out of a small village called Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh started with a group called Bharti Sansahita Samooh. Initially the weavers were contributing Rs 100 every month and putting in bank for 4-5 years and later with the help of a NGO in 2009, they started with their own brand named Surbhi. The weavers were provided with Marketing training and they got government recognition as well. Surbhi as a brand has showcased their work Dilli Haat, Surajkund and at various other places where their exclusive handwork got recognition and name. The collection is all handmade and comprises of handloom silk sarees with rich zari work and chanderi suits with beautiful bagh and bagru print on them.
